I would love to be able to use your filter controls a little differently. I have a table with has categories (parent/child/sibling/grandchild). I love your filters per category, but since I have 3 levels of categories, the multi select drop down is pretty busy..
I would like to show 3 filter multi select box, 1 for parent, then another becomes visible to choose the child, and a third opens up for the grandchildren.
I know this is not part of your component, but was hoping if I couldn't do it in your plugin, to possibly point me in the right direction? Or maybe you have a better idea.
Hello realsol.
Thank you for your purchase, and for your kind words.
I believe what you're trying to achieve is the "Cascade Filtering" feature that is a part of Powerful Filters add-on. You can select the filtering logic (From left to right), so until you select "Parent" you won't be able to select the "Child"; until you select "Child" you can't select "Grandchild" and so on.
Please go through the documentation and let me know if this helps.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Every time I turn around, you hid some other feature. Thank you. Sounds like an inner join will work for me.
Do you have any params available for the shortcodes? I would like to be able to organize the filters. My end goal is to be able to create reports from the table. I'm still looking at options for that, but I guess you probably have a feature for that too, right?
Hi realsol.
Well, yeah. It's all there in our documentation.
Please note that we have a fully-featured 'sandbox' site where one can try plugin's features before purchase, a free version of the plugin which can help to get a better understanding of how the plugin is working, all the plugin's documentation is available to anyone before purchase, and we try to clear up all the limitations of different features, and we always answer all pre-purchase questions clearly and honestly so that potential buyers would have clear understanding of how the plugin works.
The add-on for creating reports is called Report Builder.
From version 2.2 it is possible to use placeholders with other table types – JSON, XML, and PHP array through the shortcodes and as predefined values in filters and editing.
Best regards.
