I use WPTables to publish a table that I need to update every week.
Every time I update the table it give us a matrix problem and we must delete our cache.
Now the message that gives us is this: DataTables warning: table id=table_1 - Invalid JSON response. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/1
This can be caused by some security plugin you have installed, or mod_security. Can you check those and let me know if the issue is resolved after you deactivate the plugin, or disable mod_security?
Unfortunately, issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP, and it might take significant time to investigate and replicate the issue on our side, to be able to find the source of the problem, especially when the plugin or theme is not familiar to us.
From what I understand - this happens only when you update the table, correct? If that's true - how much time does it take for the table to be displayed correctly again? I'm asking this because I opened the link you provided with this ticket, and everything seems to be looking fine for now.
Our plugin uses the WP built-in admin-ajax calls and there may be something preventing those calls from receiving a JSON response. That's why it'd be important for you to test with disabling at least one plugin at a time, while you update the table - to see when the issue goes away. That way we can suggest a solution, if one is known to us, to resolve the conflict with the plugin (or theme) preventing ajax calls from returning the correct response.

Hello ovidebs.

Best regards.

Hi Aleksandar,
After checking it, I've seen we don't have any security plugin and the mod_security it under Siteground's control.
Regards,
Virginia
Alright, Virginia.
In that case - can you disable all plugins except for wpDataTables, and try updating the table - just to see if the issue will present itself again?
Also, change the theme you're using - it can also cause an issue like this.
Please let me know.
Best regards.
