    Hi everyone:

Does Amelia have a shortcode that allows customers to display his/her appointments with his/her history of appointments and future appointments, where the customers are allowed to cancel an appointment or modify the date and/or time of his/her future reservation?

    Best regards,

    Hi Melvin,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately front-end booking cabinet for customers is not available at the moment. Currently customers can have Amelia customer user role and with it they can login to the back-end, see their appointments, cancel them and with our new version they will be able to also reschedule them if you enable this option. You can give this role manually to each customer or you can enable the option for automatic creation of the roles for each customer every time a new customer makes a booking. But you should know that once they login, customers can only see Calendar and Appointments page but they cannot see other pages that admin sees or see the WordPress panel. More about the user roles you can read here.

    Best regards.

It is a real pity that Amelia does not have a cabinet where final clients can manage their appointments (cancel them and / or modify their dates), because in my case (as a psychotherapist) it is an essential characteristic.

Allowing end users access to the back-end, to do something as basic as re-date or cancel an appointment, does not seem an appropriate alternative, because it would break both with the look-and-fell and with the logic of my site. It is one thing for me as, an administrator, to be familiar with how to use Word Press, and quite another to take my clients to the WP content manager's panels.

Actually, I loved many things of Amelia, and I was very interested in buying it even to build a directory of professionals, but the lack of this feature disappointed me of the plugin. I will look forward to a new version of Amelia that I hope has this feature that I so much need, but in reality for the moment I will have to opt for another alternative.

I thank you for your kind and prompt attention to all the concerns that I expressed while I was evaluating the product and I encourage you to continue improving this tool that is above average.

    Hi Melvin,

We are very sorry to hear this but we understand you completely. We have a huge plans for Amelia and this cabinet is among the most important features that we will implement in the future. From the very beginning we based our work on the customer's needs and carefully followed every request and we plan to continue this way. The cabinet is the most requested feature on our list and we will certainly implement it.

We hope that you will continue following Amelia, and if you are interested I could inform you after we release a version with this feature?

    Best regards.

I am very happy to know that you are considering the final user cabinet and that it is not an unusual pretense on my part.

I told you that I'm a Booked user for a couple of years, and I'm not completely satisfied.

Many years ago I was a CISA certified systems auditor, so I used all my skills to evaluate more than 30 solutions available in a fairly large market and there have been many reasons why I opted for Amelia, so I decided to deal with the limitations that I am currently confronted with Booked until I can count on a new version of Amelia that manages the cabinet. In that case, it is important to consider a time limit so that end customers cannot modify or cancel appointments when there is less time for their appointment. In many places they call it a dating buffer.

I would like to suggest that you implement a more complete coupon management, such as Booki, which allows you to generate lots of coupons with self-generated codes, which is very useful when you want to consider the use of personalized coupons.

Please keep me informed about the new versions of Amelia, because I'm still very interested in the plugin.

    Best regards,

    Hi Melvin,

We will certainly add the customer cabinet in the future and we will also reconsider changing our coupon option.

As for the time limit for customer, we have this option, in our General Settings you can set minimum time required prior to booking and to canceling, so you can decide to restrict customers from changing the appointment status or book appointment hours/days or weeks before the scheduled date.

Thank you for your suggestions, we really appreciate them and we will give our best to make our plugin better and to cover all most important features.

I will certainly inform you after we release a new version with the customer cabinet feature.

    Best regards.

I'm receiving a 404 error when trying to access the customer panel, the customer also doesn't receive the initial email when they sign up with their login information. How can I fix this?

    Hi Marcos,

This is a pre-purchase category for those who didn't purchased yet.

I can not tell what the problem is at this point, can you please open private ticket in Amelia category with your purchase code and provide your temporary log in credentials so our support engeeners can take a look from the inside and help you as fast as possible.

    Thanks for understanding.
