We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi all,
just starting with WPDataTables so forgive the 'newby' question.
I have a table with a list of books. Column 1 is 'country' and there are several books from each country SO ... I'd like to group column 1.
I've watched the video:"
and it shows a 'button' marked 'group' - this isn't available in my interface.I only downloaded and installed today so I guess I'm up to date?
Any thoughts?
(also - can I set a max width for a column?)
Bob
With the column max width I guess I'd need word wrapping ...?
Hi Bob,
Thank you for your purchase.
About row grouping:
As you can see form our documentation
Row grouping feature is only available for non-server-side tables.
So manual tables, mysql tables and tables that are created from the 3rd option in the table wizard are server side tables, and for server side tables row grouping feature is not available.
About width:
IN order to use the width of the columns, you must enable Limit table width option in the table settings, please keep in mind that if you enabled Scrollable option the Limit table width option will not be visible.
If you disable Scrollable option, Limit table width option will be available.
Note:
If you already purchased the wpdatatables plugin may I kindly ask you to open a ticket in the wpDataTables category, this is a category for Pre-purchase questions.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
