We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I'm getting ready to add data to my table, but I need to know if I need to add a field to make this work. I would like to get totals by month for a chart. How do I need to format my table? I have Entry date and premium amount as columns, do I need anything else? Would I create the calculation on the table or on the chart?
Thank you.
Hello getbenefits.
Thank you for your purchase.
Since you have columns "Entry Date" and "Premium Amount", I'm guessing the totals by month would be at the end of the rows, correct?
For example, you have a row with dates, and values for those dates, and you'd like to calculate the sum within that row? This could be done with Formula (Calculated) columns.
If, on the other hand, you want to calculate the sum of the column, you can take a look at calculation functions.
Or, am I missing something here? If so, can you please provide me with some examples, screenshots or screen recordings of what you're trying to achieve?
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

So I haven't added all the data to the table quite yet, but we have multiple entries on different days over the course of the last year. So the calculation needs to read the entry date, and collect all of the entries between 1/1 and 1/31 (for example) and total them, and do the same for all the entries between 2/1 and 2/28. Does that make sense?
Understood, getbenefits.
However, I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built in features.
Conditional formatting between columns is not yet possible with our plugin, so you can't add a rule where integer column would look for certain month, and then calculate the sum only for that month.
What you'd be able to do is to add every month as an INTEGER type column, and then just calculate the total for that column. I don't suppose this would be very useful, since you'd have a lot of columns, but that's the only way of displaying what you want to display.
I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Best regards.
