I have setup a list of values for two columns. Instruments, and moods. This is because there are multiples in all of those separated by commas. I don't want to list all the possible values given (as in quirky, happy, eccentric), instead, I want to use the predefined list for the filter. Initially, on load, this works fine. See screenshot 1.
However, once any other filter on the page has been selected, the column will revert to displaying the full string that is in those values, rather than the value list I have set (see screenshot 2).
Is there any way to force the table to retain the value list I've set, even if another column has been filtered (whether or not it will truncate that value list is irrelevant at the moment, just retaining the list itself).
I noticed this behavior only occurs if I have NOT yet selected a mood or instrument. If I select a mood or instrument first, and then filter another column, the modular selections keep the values I've placed.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
This is happening because you have Powerful Filters option - Cascade Filtering - turned on.
As you can see, when you use cascade filtering (independent or dependent), all checkboxes and selectboxes will narrow down the selection in other checkboxes and selectboxes.
So, if you want to use these filters without them changing any time you select a different value of one filter, you need to turn off the cascade filtering, and the filters' checkbox selection will remain the same.
This to me behaves like a bug. Cascading filtering is is essential to the functionality of the Genre/Subgenre/Mode in order to not be filled with non-options when someone narrows them down. It seems to be that cascading filtering forcing the values that are defined specifically in Moods and Instruments causing them to change to "what the possible options are" rather than keeping the predefined values I've given is a bug. Can this be fixed?

Also, please tell me what's the table ID and the name of the page where the table is shown.
Sorry, georgevanous, I overlooked those credentials.
The thing with these filters is that you're adding them in columns, like seen here:
So, even though all filters are seen as separate check-boxes when you apply the first filter, they appear just like seen in the screenshot above based on the row contents.
If you select "Bass" for example, "Moods" filter cannot leave static values, because "Bass" is applied to rows where "Moods" column has these exact values. Meaning if "Golden Peak" has "piano, strings, brass, woodwoodwind, percussion, synth, drums, bass, vocals and spiccicato"under "Instruments", the value displayed in "Moods" filter will match the content of the cell where the row matches the "Bass", so for "Golden Peak", "Moods" cell would be "euphoric, hopeful, epic and happy" - exactly like it's shown in the filter.
I understand what you mean, though - if you select "Bass", the "Moods" filter should display "Angry", "Dark", "Euphoric", "Restless", "Glamorous", etc. check-boxes independently, and not in a line, like it does. But unfortunately this is the default behavior of the add-on, and cannot be changed.
We'll add this to our idea list as a suggestion, and look into some possible solutions for future releases.
