We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
I want to show formulas in a table cell using MathML. Since HTML-Code is getting rendered I thought MathML must work, but it does not. Did I make a mistake?
I am looking for a way to write complex formulas (e.g. calculus). Do you know a better approach or is there a way to enable MathML?
Thanks in advance!
Timo
Hello raekertim.
Thank you for your purchase.
I am sorry, but we haven't tried using MathML in wpDataTables, but from a brief test, it looks like it can't be used in the tables.
I've tried the simplest equation example, but unfortunately it didn't work:
Have you checked if there are some MathML plugins that could generate a shortcode which you can paste into a cell? I don't guarantee that'll work either, but since wpDataTables supports shortcodes in cells, it may be a possibility.
Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP.
Also, please note that MathML is currently supported only on Firefox browsers, so I don't know how useful it'd be even if we somehow got it to display in our tables. Here's an example in Chrome:
And the same page in Firefox:
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hallo Aleksandar,
thank you for your idea. I had a few tries, the most promising with the plugin "Schortcoder". It does render MathML in my article, but unfortunately not inside the WP-Table on the same page. We are using the tables only inside our organisation, everybody is using the same browser (e.g. firefox) - so MathML would do the trick.
I will have further tries. If any other idea to integrate formulas pops into your mind (or anybody else's) I would be very greatful!
Thanks
Timo
Hello again Timo.
I am sorry that I couldn't be of any more help here.
If you find a solution, please let me know, so that we can help other users that have the same question in the future.
I'll talk to my colleagues as well about this, and I'll let you know if we find some solution for you.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
