Hi, I would like to develop a simple web interface that the user provides the name of an item (say a breed of dog) and after submitting this searches a table (a wpDataTable) of over 100 rows and where one row (and only one row) exists for this item. There would be several columns for each row (hair colour, length of hair, maximum height, loudness of bark etc) and the search returns all details present about this item. Further, would it be possible for the details of the search results (say "length of hair") to subsequently search a second linked table (a wpDataTable) regarding the "length of hair" ("less than 1cm", between 1-2 cm"...) to provide a further output (type of shampoo).
Is there a way to do this with wpDataTable within Wordpress?

Thank you in advance for your time.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your inquire.
For this case maybe the best solution is to try to recreate a table on our sandbox site and see if it will fit your needs.
http://sandbox.wpdatatables.com/
Also for more detailed search and filtering you should check our Add-on Powerful filters where the "cascade" filtering logic is available.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
