Ok so first off, the auto-update license key doesnt seem to be functioning but i have found it may be a wordpress issue since they just realeased a new version and in previous releases they disabled auto updates for a period of time after a new release. I tried to download and manually update, but after 3 tries I have given up because it keeps saying I downgraded the version and brings down the whole system to where I have to restore. Tried twice by your ftp method, and once by re-installing through the wordpress plugin backend to no avail.
Second, since you guys are not going to give me any timeline on google booking feature I am going to attempt to utilize another service and hook it into my current amelia-wp system. The new app is called appointy and has a free account that makes a booking button available on google search and google map search. So this appointy hooks into another app called zapier that integrates with 1000's of other software including wordpress, but only action available is to post an actual blog post. There is a webhook software it hooks into that brings my real question. The webhook can perform a post function and i am wondering if it can be configured to post the appointment information from appointy into the same database as amelia in the same way as when i make a new appointment from the backend. Could you help me set up this webhook to work properly so I don't have to manually transfer appointments until you guys develop your own google booking integration? It would be much appreciated
Auto update is not released yet for our latest version. Common practice when you release the new version is to wait for some time ( usually 7 days) to avoid auto updating the version if there is some issue or some bug. We wait for our clients feedback and then if everything is fine we release the auto update.
For the manual update you can follow this guide
When downloading the new plugin version from CodeCanyon, please follow these steps to update manually from the existing version:
1. Go to your FTP and open WordPress plugins folder ( you can also open plugins folder from your computer and not use FTP clients)
2. Delete the old Amelia version folder
3. Upload the new version of Amelia ( you can copy/paste the new version in the folder)
4. Go to WP-admin panel, and open the Plugins section
5. Deactivate Amelia, and then activate it again
As for the second question, I just spoke with some of my developers about this and unfortunately something like this is not possible to accomplish.
To work with data that is stored in the database you will need to get all the information like service,empolyee, time slot, working time etc and then sent id to our plugin from the appointy
We are using get_entity api which is public and maybe there is some kind of workaround but it still would not be the proper solution and we can not be sure that it will work properly.
