I am building a website and I need to determine if wpdatatables is the best solution for me. I have a mySQL DB that updates stock market data in real time. If I use sql queries to pull data from mySQL DB into wpdatatables will that data update in real-time or will the screen need to be refreshed?

Data will be updated on page refresh, but you can set the auto refresh for the mysql table ( for example every 1 minute) so only the table will be refreshed on the page and not entire page.
