We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
The table I’m creating is for a coin collection. One of the columns (fields) is for coin “Type” which varies according to the coins denomination. Is there a way to make the list of “Defined Values” change based on the Denomination field? So if the coin is a Half Cent the Defined Values that are in the drop down menu for the coin’s Type are “Liberty Cap”, “Draped Bust”, “Classic Head” or “Braided Hair” but if the Denomination is “Large Cent” the Defined Values that are in the drop down menu for that coins Type will be “Flying Eagle”, “Indian Head”, “Lincoln Wheat”, “Lincoln Memorial” and “Lincoln Shield”.
Hello Robert.
Thank You for Your purchase.
If You'd like to add conditional formatting when entering new data into the table, this cannot be done by linking two columns, for example, if one column has "Half cent", the other column would let You choose "Liberty Cap", "Draped Bust", "Classic Head" or "Braided Hair".
If, however, You already have all the data in the table, and would like to filter by these columns in this way, You can take a look at Powerful Filters addon for wpDataTables. It allows cascade filtering, so when You select one option, only options for that value would be displayed, hiding all the others.
I hope this helps.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Thanks very much. I'm not surprised that conditional formatting is only available after the data is entered but I'm glad to hear back from you so quickly and with such a clear and complete answer. I think wpDataTables is going to work well for what I need to accomplish with the coin collection and other applications that come up. The site I'm building (that isn't related to the coin collection) is for my photography and I envision organizing the pictures in tables that will allow customers to search by location, subject, size and other criteria. Your plug-in is the best way I've seen to do that. Are you aware of any sites that have used it for that?
Hello again Robert.
I haven't run into any sites that used wpDataTables for photography, but I have worked with people who created pages for used car sales, real estate, apartment blocks, etc. and they all consisted of pictures, location, size, etc. so I have no doubt it will do good for You.
If You have any issues or questions, of course, please feel free to reach out to us.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Would you mind providing links to the sites? Seeing examples would be useful.
I am sorry Robert, but I don't keep track of all tickets I've reviewed.
Also, there are some problems with that request. As much as I'd like to provide examples, I must point out that most of those tickets weren't public, so I would have to contact the users to ask for permission of sharing their web-sites; also, a lot of them were accessible only to logged-in users; most recent ones were still in production, so You would only be able to see the "Under construction" page even if I were to share the links.
I can invite You to search this platform for public tickets. For example search for "Image in a column" or "Displaying pictures", or anything similar. I believe You'll be able to find some tickets that are public.
I can do as much as contact the most recent ticket owners and check with them if it would be OK for me to share their web-sites with You. I'll get back to You as soon as I hear from them.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
