Hi There, Great plugin!
We are having some difficulties with our "Exchanges:" filter at the following URL http://temp.offset.co/activ/support/sample-page/. Whereby when filters are selected, no results are displayed.
From what I can tell the filter do not work when there are brackets and or full stops in the content. I understand that this could be due to parsing issues.
Is there a work around for this?
Thanks in advance.
Thank You for Your purchase.
I believe I may have an idea of what's going on here, and this should be a quick fix if I'm not mistaken.
Please go to ../wpdatatables/assets/js/jquery-datatables/jquery.dataTables.columnFilter.js and around line 972 find this code:
search = search + $(this).val().replace(/\+/g,'\\+') + or;
Please try replacing it with this:
search = search + '^' + $(this).val().replace(/\+/g,'\\+').replace(/\(/g,'\\(').replace(/\)/g,'\\)') + '$' + or;
Let me know if the issue is still present. If it is, then please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

Hi Aleksandar, thanks for the speedy response.
Unfortunately I am not seeing a jquery.dataTables.columnFilter.js file in the location you specified. All I see are the following:
I searched each of these for the line you described but it's also not present.
I will set up a temp login for you now and will send the details in my next message marked as private. Thanks again.
Hello again offsetmedia.
I apologize, the file I told You to look for was on one of the previous versions of the plugin.
It was brought to my attention that some other customers recently reported the same issue with the filters not being able to search for data within brackets.
This is reported as a bug and I forwarded this to my team, so we will look to fix this issue and include the proper solution in some of the next updates of the plugin.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks again - any idea when the next update / patch is going in? and will this bug be included in the next release?
Tarkan - Offset Media.
We try to implement all fixes as soon as possible. We have some priority tasks to handle, so I can't say when the update with this fix will be released, and if it is going to be in the next release.
I once again apologize for the inconvenience.
