I believe I may have an idea of what's going on here, and this should be a quick fix if I'm not mistaken.

Please go to ../wpdatatables/assets/js/jquery-datatables/jquery.dataTables.columnFilter.js and around line 972 find this code:

search = search + $(this).val().replace(/\+/g,'\\+') + or;

Please try replacing it with this:

search = search + '^' + $(this).val().replace(/\+/g,'\\+').replace(/\(/g,'\\(').replace(/\)/g,'\\)') + '$' + or;

Let me know if the issue is still present. If it is, then please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

I apologize, the file I told You to look for was on one of the previous versions of the plugin.

It was brought to my attention that some other customers recently reported the same issue with the filters not being able to search for data within brackets. 

This is reported as a bug and I forwarded this to my team, so we will look to fix this issue and include the proper solution in some of the next updates of the plugin.
