Hi - I updated Amelia from the plugin page in my dashboard just a few minutes ago and it seems the update failed - a pretty long error message showed up under the plugin, where it would usually say that the plugin was updated successfully. Unfortunately after this happened, I cannot access my dashboard or website anymore - I get this error: "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute."
Do you know what I can do to fix this? Thanks so much for your help!
Update - it's all back thankfully. Of course, this always happens right after you ask for help. :-) First the website came back and then after a few minutes the dashboard came back. After a few more minutes, the plugin page came back.
It is still showing an update available for Amelia - should I try it again? Thanks again for your help!
Hi Anita,Thank you for your purchase.
Sorry for inconvenience,
We are not sure why this happened. Correct me if I am wrong, when website is come back in normal Amelia is updated on latest version or not? If you have problems with updating through Plugins page of WordPress you can try to update manually.
You can download the latest version from CodeCanyon, and then please follow these steps to update manually from the existing version:
1. Go to your FTP and open WordPress plugins folder2. Delete the old Amelia version folder3. Upload the new version of Amelia4. Go to WP-admin panel, and open the Plugins section5. Deactivate Amelia, and then activate it again6. Clear browser and server cache
