I believe I read somewhere that foreign keys don't work when the tables are in different databases or different connections. Is there a way to make this work? I have a database that is on a different connection to the wordpress site. This database has a user id associated with it. But I want to display the user name that is associated with this id. But I am either unable to make this foreign key association or I just don't know how. Is there a way to do this?
Sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately relations with the tables that are from different databases is something that is not possible to achieve with the plugin built in features at the moment.
Unfortunately not for now. The separate connection is the last main feature that we added in our plugin, but we will look to improve it through the updates of the plugin but I can not tell you precisely when this will be possible.

Ok, that is just fine.
Out of curiosity is there efforts being made to make this possible in future updates?
