I have data in excel and use the image column (loaded from the media library) and I'd like to show the title of the image. It doesnt show on mouseover, or in the popup. Can I add the title to the excel or is there another way? Looks like the title tag is stripped from the image when loaded in wpDataTables?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where You'd like to make this possible, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and find a resolution to Your request. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately something like this is not possible to achieve with the plugin built-in features at the moment. This can probably be done with some custom Java Script that will be included on this page and rendered when there is a hover on the image.
Unfortunately due to our support policy customizations are not covered in the included support for the plugin. Included support covers help with bugs and general inquiries for the plugin features, but not writing custom code. As you're developing some custom solution if you need our assistance we can offer you our paid customization service.
Our price is 50$-hour. I will send your request to my team and I will let you know when they estimate the final price, if you are interested of course.
Pulling the name from the filename, or from database and creating a pop-up box, or displaying text on hover over the images seems to be harder than we thought. It is a very interesting request, though, and we will add it to our idea list and look into some possible solutions on plugin side in the future.
I have managed to find a work-around which is not as pretty as we might have hoped for, but it is working and it has been inspired by your option B. I went ahead and created a copy of your table. Take a look at how it looks when you visit the page (see attachment #1).
You will see the little pluses added in the top left corner of every image. When you click on that icon, it will expand the image and show the name bellow it (attachment #2).
It is quite simple to accomplish this, but it does require adding another column entitled "Name" (or however you want to name it) next to the "Image" column.
If you like this work-around, please let me know and I'll explain the details to you.

No worries, thanks for looking into it. What will it cost me if you implement showing the title of the image in the popup?

Jeroen

Hi Aleksandar,
Yes please. Let me know.
So to be precise, one of the following options would be great to have:
Option A: Pull the Title tag from the media library so it can be displayed in the pop-up
Option B: Insert the title in the excel file
Option C: Use the filename to be displayed in the popup
Option A = favourite, followed by B and C (least favourite)
Regards,
Jeroen
