I just have to say that there are so many bugs with this plugin, especially for the cost. Because of the features, I thought this was a sound plugin; but, I was wrong. First, the date input format doesn't save. Well, let me back up and say that it didn't even show when I imported the table from an Excel document. It wasn't until I created a new table and linked it to a URL source that it appeared in the column configuration when I selected Date as the column type. However, regardless of what I select, it still displays as d/m/Y, which is what I don't want. And, when I go back to the column settings, what I previous selected is set for the date input format is there. It's like the plugin just ignores it. I thought it maybe was a javascript conflict, so I disabled all of the other plugins and changed the theme to a WP default, and it still didn't save correctly. Another thing that I discovered is, if you have the table settings to allow sorting but disable sorting on all of the individual columns, the table bugs out and you completely lose the table. It still is listed as a current table; however, if you go into the configuration, it takes you to create a new table. I have used this plugin for only 15 minutes, so who knows what else I'm going to find wrong with it; but, fixing the date input format is far and away the biggest issue that I have found so far. You can see a video capture of the bug below.
Sorry to hear that you have difficulties with our product, I will try to help you out so we can solve this problems.
Date column is something that almost 80% of our users are using and we did not receive any issues with this topic, can you please send me that file from which you are trying to make a table so I can take a look and try to reproduce the issue on my side.
Can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Okay. Thank you. I didn't see that setting requirement in the documentation; the rendering rules just state that dates will be formatted using the format defined in the plugin settings.

HI samuelldrew,
OK i can see now where the issue is.
The date format in the file must be the same format like in the wpdatatables settings page.
In your case the format in the file is as I can see m/d/y so you will need to change the format in the settings page also to m/d/y.
As I can see the date format in your settings is set to d/m/y now.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
