I have selected an Excel file as Data input file and whenever I try to change the file to another the plugin freezes (goes into a permanent wait state)
When I cancel the operation It is then not possible to select any data input file for that particular data table, and I have to start from scratch,
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Also if you can write me here some short guide how can I reproduce the issue on your site.
As I can see in your files there is a different number of columns so the "skeleton" of the file is changed in some way.
When you first make a table from the file it is not recommended to apply changes to that file like adding more columns, or deleting columns, or changing the column name.
My suggestion if you need to switch like this is to avoid switching between files that are not similar with the structure of the table.

How to reproduce:
Create a Table
Create a table linked to an existing data source.
Input data source file (choose Excel)
Browse
Select from Media Library any of the Excel files with todays date
Click Apply
EVERYTHING WORKS AS EXPECTED AT THIS POINT
To see error:
Click WPDataTables
Click configure (on the data table you just created)
Click Browse
Choose another file from media server (with todays date)
Press apply
Plugin will freeze (loading forever)
Also... When you cancel the operation (loading) and then try to select another file from media server the option to browse is not visible...

I will try to reproduce it on my side also with your files.
In the meantime can you please check your server log and tell me if there are some errors.

I have now tried a few times and I cannot get it to reproduce on you sandbox site.
What does this mean? Is it incompatible with some of the plug-ins I have? Or with the Divi builder?

I think i might found where the issue is.
