We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi
I am using wpDataCharts in association with wpDataTables.
On creating a Line Chart by default the base value on the Y-Axis is automatically set at a high value as opposed to a zero Y-axis starting value.
The Y-axis value range is automatically set to 580k to 630k for LINE chart, using highcharts for my MySQL wpDataTable.
On creating an Area and Column the base value is reset to ZERO, so the range of values on the Y-axis is 0 to 630k instead of 580k to 630k for Area and Column charts.
There is an option
Vertical axis min value
which I can set as 580000 in this data instance and it works for both charts, but as in the case of the Line Chart, I need this setting for the base value set automatically, so each chart type is comparable.
Many Thanks
Colin
Hi Colin,
Thank you for your purchase.
Sorry but I did not quite understand what are you trying to achieve can you please describe me a little bit more this sentence On creating a Line Chart by default the base value on the Y-Axis is automatically set at a high value as opposed to a zero Y-axis starting value.
Do you have any example or screenshot so I can take a look and give you my suggestion.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Colin,
Ok I will check if this is by the design of the line charts or something else, in the meantime can you please tell me is the follow table filtering enabled for all of the charts.
Best regards.

Hi Colin,
Unfortunately that is normal behavioral of column and area chart in Highcharts engine. As you said in previous post you can set Vertical axis min and max values for those charts throw our chart wizard.
Best regards.
