I just purchased wpDataTables. So far its been great, however the "Drop down" / Select lists seem to not work from the front-end edit view. They do not seem to even open when in front end / public view.
If I'm logged in and in the plug-in / table view (back end), and select a row, then edit, then the menu works no problem.
However, if I go to the public view front-end view, the drop downs don't work. All other fields work, just not the ones with the drop downs.
I have tried disabling the bootstrap, but that does not help. I have tried 4 different themes, and finally found one that somewhat kind of worked. But it shows multiple arrows for the dropdown with a weird overlay.
So I guess its a mix of an issue with theme's and this plugin.....
is the table set to "Users see and edit only own data"? I have the problem, that in this case dropdown-fields which gets data from a different table ("Use values from another wpDataTable") weren't shown. The content of the dropdown is empty.

If you mean on https://wordpress.org/themes/mywiki/ then yes this theme use bootstrap framework as our plugin and include him in header of the html element and there is a conflict. For such a situations we made noconflict bootstrap that you can switch in main settings of plugin, but it is also not working. We also try to disable including any of bootstrap on the page but in that case table is not loaded properly.
When we disable include boostrap in theme files, table is loaded properly and dropdown is working correct.
Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP, so my suggestion is to change the theme because it is not compatible with wpdatatables.

Hmm....
What theme do you recommend using with it?
