I am importing a large dataset 5MB and I get the same generalized error. It doesn't give me direction on how to fix. My import successfully creates the table but does not import the data. Can you help?

This format will work only up to a certain limit (no exact limit, but 3000-5000 cells is a good example). If you have a larger file, the page load time will increase and can happen that you have errors. For large data sets it makes sense to import the data to MySQL and then use option in table wizard Create table from existing data source->Mysql query by inserting query
SELECT * FROM table_name_that_you_import_from_csv_file
