Failed query builder

When creating a table, I am able to build the query, set relations, hit next, and preview the query.

However, once I click Create The Table, I get a response such as:

    Tue, 18 Sep 2018 20:24:14 GMT

Then I have to start over from the beginning.  This has happened with multiple queries.  It doesn't happen all of the time, and I do have one table working great.  But I'm trying to build additional tables and 90% of them are "failing" with this "error".

    Thanks.

Anything that involves an INNERJOIN is failing.

    Hi sjellema,
    Thank you for your purchase.

Please note that this tool is not an ultimate query generator, it just constructs a suggestion of a query. We constantly work on improving it, but SQL is such a complicated and flexible language that full automation for constructing queries is hardly possible. So the more complicated the query is, the higher is the chance that it will not return exactly what you need.

Can you please tell me did you try that queries in your database tool(for example phpmyadmin) and see is it returning data?

    Kind Regards,

    Isidora Markovic

    Hello, Milan.

I consistently get this issue whenever attempting an INNERJOIN.  I am able to successfully run the query (when it makes it far enough to show me what the query is) on the remote server using phpmyadmin.  Sometimes it doesn't even generate the query, so I cannot test that.

I've also tried this in other browsers and am seeing the same issue.

What did you change/do?  And don't say anything because I have logs showing your connection and also showing that shortly after you connected PHP started having fatal errors.  That's not coincidence.  My whole website is down (and only this website)...

  • sjellema replied

I see now that you disabled my security.  You had no permission to do so.

  • sjellema replied

I disabled your plugin by adding an underscore to the plugin folder name and my website came back online.  So whatever you changed brought my website down.

  • sjellema replied

I have re-enabled my security (do not disable it).

If you let me know what you changed with your plugin, I can undo it so that it can be re-activated and you can try again.  Otherwise it will stay disabled.

Troubleshooting broken functionality in one plugin, such as yours, does not justify turning off my security and also crashing my whole website.  While I understand mistakes happen, security should NEVER be turned off without the permission of the website owner, and if you're going to tamper with code that brings down the website, you should be honest and up front about it so that the website owner can immediately resolve the issue not guess what you did.

    Hi sjellema,

    We apologize for the inconvenience,

We didn't change anything in our plugin. When we check your tables and see that you are using Wordfanse security plugin and that you mention in previous post that you get errors when you are trying to make wpdatatables with query ( you get white screen with Thu, 20 Sep 2018 16:21:17 GMT) we try to deactivate Wordfanse security plugin because few more users have same issue where that plugin block ajax calls when you are make tables with some of queries.

We apologize for not explaining what happens(I think that we wrote that, but after your replies we was aware of that mistake).

You are totally right that we don't have rights to change  or do anything on your website without your permissions, so this will not happen again.

Wordfanse security plugin have some security that blocks making tables with some queries. There is solution where you can use both plugins, but you need to whitelist our plugin or your ip in wordfance settings. About detailed instructions how to do that my suggestion is to contact Wordfanse security plugin support to explain you how to whitelist it.

Ones again apologize for the inconvenience,

and please let me know is this solution solved the issue(a few users solve with this solution)

    Have a nice weekend.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,

With Wordfence completely disabled, your plugin crashes my website.  Nothing on my website works at all while wpdatatables is enabled.  It was not like this before you connected to my server.  So yes, something was changed.

As it stands, your product is not able to do what you claim it could do and therefore if we cannot get this resolved in the next day or so (with Wordfence disabled so you can rule that out) - I will be requesting a refund.

    Hi sjellema,

I am glad that you found a solution.

Error that you get when you try to make view in database is because you have same names of the column in those tables. You can use alias to avoid this.

    Best regards.
