I can not activate this plugin.  I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.', expecting '&' or variable (T_VARIABLE) in /home/ttonline/MyDashboard.totalteck.net/wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables-tables-and-charts-manager-for-wordpress/lib/markbaker/complex/classes/src/operations/add.php on line 18

    Hi Jerry,

Version 2.3 requires PHP version 5.6 or higher. We strongly recommend 7 or higher.

Very many thanks for the quick response. Our site is running php5.4.16, so I will ask our host to move it to ver 7. WPDatatables is a vital part of it.

    Best regards

Server has been updated to php7.2 etc.

However, wpdatables will still not auto update. I now get the error message

Update Failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

This means nothing to me. Can you point me to what is going wrong.

    Regards

    Hi loweprojects,

This means that the zip file you’re downloading get corrupted or you haven't enuf memory on your server to allow WordPress to download and install the plugin. If you tried multiple times to update the plugin and it fails you could either increase your server memory or update the plugin manually by following this instructions - Documentation

    Hi obi,

As mentioned below you need to update PHP to version 5.6 or higher. From next version of the plugin we will have more robust PHP version check.

    Sorry for inconvenience.

    Hi Miljko

Much appreciated. The server does have plenty of memory, but I tried downloading the file from Code Canyon, unzipping it, and FTP'd the directory to the wp site as per your guidance, and it worked. Many thanks for your quick responses.
