I would like to use a column with string data to create my pie chart.
For example, let's say I have a column labeled OFFICE DIVISION. 2 cells contain DALLAS, and 4 cells with HOUSTON.
I would like to just use this one column to be represented in my chart. The chart builder will not let me only use one column of data.
What am I missing?? Google sheets allows users to aggregate the column to create a count.
HI William,
Thank you for your purchase.
Unfortunately pie charts ( and also other charts) require minimum 2 columns to be chosen in order to make a chart from that table. You are not missing anything jut the engines that we are using in our plugin ( highchart, google charts, chart.js) can not create a chart from one column.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
