When I add a hyperlink to a table via csv import, the hyperlink is changed. Say I wanted to add pet.com as a url. When I import it and then view the table on a page, the url becomes mydomain.com/pet.com
That link, of course, is useless.
Any tips on how I can get WPDataTables and Wordpress to retain the integrity of hyperlinks that I want to share?
Yes you have this issue because you didn't insert hole url link for wpdatatables. For url link you have to insert hole url like http://pet.com or https://pet.com if you use SSL. You can take a look about URL link column in our documentation on this link. When you insert links without http or https wordpress will recognize like internal links so will be concat with domain where is wordpress installed.
