We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I'm attempting to create a calculator using the wpDataTables plugin. I'm able to almost reach the desired state, but the table is editable by everyone, which is not desired. So my idea was to then use the "Limit editing to own data only" option, but this makes the user have to be logged in and they have to start the table all over, again not ideal. Is there a way to work around this?
Requirements: Table fills with initial columns/rows, is editable, can only be edited and viewed by that specific user, and doesn't require someone to login.
Is this possible with this plugin, or any way to work around adding in this?

Thank you!
Hi bkhayes,
Thank you for your purchase.
You have option to set Editor role which can edit the data in table on front-end, but they have to be logged in to edit the table. It is not possible to set Editor roles and then the user can edit data if he is not logged in.
Best regards
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Thank you Milan for the quick response. I'm wondering if it is also possible to have some fields show up for a user, even if "Limit editing to own data only" is selected? Can some rows already be configured to start? Or is there no way around it?
Thank you! Hopefully you can add some of this functionality if it isn't possible, because it would make it a super powerful tool. :)
Hi bkhayes,
Unfortunately at the moment that is not possible.
Thank you for your suggestion. We carefully follow customers requirements and try to implement most of them if they appears in requests from time to time so we will add to our idea list and look into some possible solutions on plugin side in future.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic
