There is a suggestion to add :
$.fn.dataTable.ext.errMode = ‘throw’;
I assume this then prevents the error on the fontend??
Well where do I put this to prevent the error in future as I seem unable to make any changes to fix the issue. I wasn’t expecting to have to be familiar with JQery to use this plugin – this is very frustrating!!!
Please resond as soon as you can – my client is getting very irrate at seeing this error.
I have gone to the backend and simply saved the settings for the plugin and the error is no longer showing up.
Please note: I have already submitted same message on CodeCanyon comments section

That is not a solution because something break Ajax call for server-side processing. If you check Console of the browser when this happens you will see what error the server is responding with for the Ajax request.
If you get error admin-ajax.php 404 NOT FOUND in Console of the browser, please check do you have some firewall or some security(some plugin or turn on mod_security) on server that cause not founding wordpress native file admin-ajax.php that we used for ajax calls.
If you get The
500 Internal Server Error which is is a server-side error, meaning the problem
probably isn't with your computer, Internet connection or plug ins
but instead is a problem with the web site's server.
Can
you please investigate your server log and see if there is some
errors.
Temporary solution. If you don't have lot of data in that tables you can turn off server-side processing.
Please see attachment - there is no error at present - but this error seems to come and go.
When the error shows on the frontend it seems to indicate table 3 as being the problem. Is the problem because there are two tables on the same page. I would be gratefull if you could look at the page in question and advise if it would be practical to turn off server-side processing?
No that is not causing the issue. We visit your page and we can see that is working fine. We are not sure why this errors are happening sometimes, but when it is happens it probably throw error on admin ajax which then is not passing data properly to the table.
We can see that you have very small amount of data in both tables so you can turn off server-side processing on both tables.
I suppose that you made this tables manually, so you don't have option to turn it off. What you can do is to make two new tables with query. Here are the instructions:
When you made manual tables it will be made tables in database starting with count of 1 (wp_wpdatatable_1,wp_wpdatatable_2...) You can find that tables in option MySQL table name for editing on Editing tab in table settings. You can use that table name and make new table from MySQL query like this:
SELECT * FROM table_name_for_editing
Instead of table_name_for_editing you will use table name from option MySQL table name for editing.
Do this for both tables and then it will be available option Server-side processing on DATA SOURCE tab in table settings which you can turn off.
You can set table like you set the previous one. Only changes between them is way of creating (manual and mysql query) If you choose Limit table width option, every column will have option column width which you can set.
For mobile views you can use option Responsiveness on Display tab in table settings. When this is turn on in every column you can set option Hide on mobiles and Hide on tablets.
I have bought this item and I am getting an Ajax Error every now and then – it is not consistent and does not ocurr all the time.
I have been to the http://datatables.net/tn/7 and find these instructions complicated.

THANKS MILAN
BUT HOW DO I TURN SERVER SIDE PROCESSING OFF? WHERE IN THE SETTINGS DO I DO THIS?
PHIL
Hi Philip,
I suppose that you made this tables manually, so you don't have option to turn it off.
Best regards.

There is a new problem - I cannot define the column widths as a percentage????
And there are no responsive settings for mobile???
Please help with this - it is becoming a very big problem.
Please view: http://hadjipateras.co.uk/fleet-history/
The last table on the page was created as you suggested and although the table seems to work for Ipad it is broken for phones.

Hi Milan
I'm not sure you understand what I mean. Attached are two screenshots Manual and MYSQL.
See the MYSQL does not have the responsive options??
Hi Milan - I would be happy to provide you access to the site Admin if you want.
Hi Philip,
Yes i understand what you are writing and I already explain you in previous post what you need to do so I will repeat again with attachments.
You need first to turn on option Responsiveness on Display tab in table settings(attachment 1) and click Apply.
After that in every column you will have options Hide on mobiles and Hide on tablets.(attachment 2)

Isidora Markovic
