i have seen at least one person asking for this in the support thread, but i have run into an issue that makes the management of my table manual and much more labor intensive. my company has a business google account and to secure our data and documents all published material is secured by a login. there is no option to publish "one-off" without the security and apparently your plugin does not support secure google docs. this is really more of a feature request, but it would be very helpful to be able to import these secure documents so i don't have to host them under a separate account just to be able to use them.
Yes for now your google spreadsheets have to be publish so wpdatatables can access it.
Thank you for your suggestion. We carefully follow customers requirements and try to implement most of them if they appears in requests from time to time so we will add to our idea list and look into some possible solutions on plugin side in future.
I would also like this feature!! A lot of people store very sensitive data in google sheets, so it would be great if we didn't have to make the sheet public and instead offered a secure login.
