    Hi there,

i wanted to know if it is possible to edit a table or a row of a table with a custom formidable or gravity form instead of the standard popup table editor? I think that feature is not available yet but it would be very helpful, especially if you to edit a table with a lot of columns in the frontend.

Is this feature going to be implemented in the near future or not? I have seen some posts where you said that you are currently working on it? Will it be released in the next couple of months?

My usecase is the following, and it would be awesome if your plugin could support that. I think many other users would be happy with such a feature, too.

    1. Custom Fomidable (or Gravity) Forms (more than one) to add entries in a existing (MySQL) datatable.

    2. Action or Edit Button on the table which opens a custom Formidable Form to edit existing entries.

    3. Add new Button on the table which opens a custom Formidable Form to create new entries.

I think many people would not mind to pay more than 45$ for that feature.

Espeacially if this would allow to create multi user "marketplace" like websites where registered users for example could manage notes or create their personal diaries.

    Greetings

    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    Thank you for your inquire.

We are just release update  for Gravity Forms integration for wpDataTables which allows you to edit existing and add new entries directly from wpDataTables. This works as usual editing in wpDataTables, it will open a modal upon clicking NEW or EDIT button just that modal will be populate with Gravity own form instead of wpDataTables inputs.

Please keep in mind that in our plugin you can create table from one form and that form will be used for editing.

We are in process of updating documentation with new functionalities so please visit this link in next day or two to see all information about editing Gravity based tables.

For Formidable Form integration for wpDataTables we are in process of investigating and planing of developing similar functionality

    Hi Miljko,

thanks for the quick reply. Sounds great so far!

I will have to check if that covers my requirements.

Can you tell me when this will be available for formidable forms, too? How many months do you think will your developers need to implement that? (I think formidable forms are better than gravity forms)

    Greetings,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

At this moment I really don't have an answer to that question. For Gravity Forms it was not an easy task but that doesn't mean that it will require same amount of time for Formidable. We are hoping that it wouldn't take too long

    Hi there,

the documentation ist still not updated yet. When can i see this for the new feature for gravity forms?

Is it possible to use the gravity forms integration for a wpdatatable with the feature where users can see and edit only their own data together?

    Regards,

    Michael

    Hi,

We just updated documentation for Gravity Forms integration for wpDataTables - Documentation

Yes, we implemented that option. Now it is possible to use it with Editing functionality or as a filter on Gravity settings tab

    Hi,

There is no built in option to style Popup Dialog trough GUI at this moment. We are rendering response that we are getting from Gravity forms directly in the Popup. If it doesn't render as you like only option to modify it would be with CSS

    Hi,

ok sadly the Gravity Forms popup is not displayed correctly. Sadly. plugins i use for Gravity Forms are not applied to the WPDataTable Gravity form popup.

Ist there a way to integrate 3rd party gravity forms plugins to the wpdatatable popup?

E.g. of the  Multiple Columns for Gravity Forms Plugin?

Or Gravity Forms Collapsible Sections by Jetsloth?

This would be awesome and perfectly fit my needs.

    Kind regards,

    Michael

    Hi,

Unfortunately we don't have official support for the third party plugins at this moment. We have plans to investigate the market and see which one could improve usability of our solution. I will add two of these at the list.

    Hi,

    ok that's a bit disappointing.

I really need this feature for my business case. Can you give me an outlook when i can expect that feature to be implemented?

Other third party plugins for gravity forms (e.g popup builder) do also support and integrate plugins which are used for gravity forms.

    Michael

    Hi,

We do not have timestamp on it at this moment. We will do our best to implement it as soon as possible but I can't make you any promise about time  of the release.
