We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

Change Columns in Google Sheet

    Hi.

I have 39 columns in a Google Sheet with 692 rows. Loading is a bit slow (7 seconds). But I see that I am using only 10 (6 visible) of the 39 columns. If I remove unused columns the search will surely speed up based on your documentation.

How do I do this without losing all the existing column settings I have for the 10 columns in use. I can create a new view (sheet) with only the needed columns. If I then change the Input file path or URL to point to this new sheet (tab), will wpDataTables auto-update removing the no longer available columns and keep all my settings for the existing columns which are being kept with the same column names?

Don't want to redo existing work... Please advise. Thank you.

    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Thank you for your purchase.

Unfortunately your table will break if you change existing url of google spreadsheet with second url with different number of columns. My suggestion is to make new one and set up again, because you can't use same settings from previous table made from google spreadsheet.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi.

I think there should be a feature to not include certain columns when pulling data from external source like Google Sheet. This would be different than just hiding the column of course.

    Thanks.
