I am concerned that I get emails from Code Canyon telling me I should download an update to my wpDataTables plugin.  I am using 2.2.1 now.  I received an email on 7th June and another today  (13th July).  I log on to my Envato downloads and only see my original purchase and no mention of any update to download. I am worried that if I download and install the whole program it might overwrite my existing tables.

In May when I asked this question I was told that the update would appear in the Wordpress Admin page so that I can update the plugin in the normal way.  It did and I was happy.  However no such update appeared following the June and today's emails.

I don't understand why the procedure for this plugin is any different to other plugins.  Can anyone explain and tell me what I should do.  Thanks.

    Hi Chris,
    Thank you for your purchase.

    Sorry for late response.

We are located in Serbia and our working time is from 10:00 to 17:00 CET. business days.

Yes we have some issues with auto updates and for now you can update plugin manually. If you follow instructions on link for manually update of plugin you will not lose your tables.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page). If you do, you will lose all your tables!

We are working on issues with auto update and should be available soon.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks Milan.  I will update the plugin manually. I just wanted to check the procedure.  Hope you sort out auto-updates.
