We created a table in Google Sheets and followed your instruction to get the URL with which we managed to create a table (first option; from existing data source).
Then when trying to create chart from this table, it will load forever on "Formatting and preview" step. Tried over 4 times; same. And, also tried to create a chart from another table, no problem.
I'm wondering whether this is something to do with the table which was created from option 1 (Google Sheet data source).
If you don't have sensitive data, can you please send me that sheet so I can take a look and investigate in our local environment? Check private replay so nobody can see it except me.
We made table from sheet that you provide and made some basic formula column and try to make line chart for all engines and we can see that is working. Can you please provide me formula that you use in your table(which columns you use and also operations) and which chart engine you use and which chart type you pick so we can investigate in our local environment?
The formula used is a sum of all other cols. I tried creating chart without formula col still can't. I don't think it's the formula issue.
I just tested creating charts from this wpDataTable using other two engines; both works. It seems a bug Google Charts engine can't render table connected with an existing Google Sheet. Can you help solve this issue. We'd like to use Google Charts. Thanks.
Yes we notice that now. I reproduce it in my local environment. I will forward this to my team to investigate and find what cause the issue. Thank you for reporting this. For now my suggestion is to make charts from other engine Highcharts or Charts.js.
It is released new version 2.2.3 today with fix for google charts. We didn't release auto update yet so you can update the plugin manually by following this steps:
