Sorry but I not quite understand on what you mean. Can you please explain me in little more details or send me some screenshots so I can give you my suggestion?
Similar to Excel grouping, a user could drill down through the hierarchy of data. An example hierarchy could be Countries > State > Region > Area > Store, where a Global Sales Director could drill down or expand the groups of rows from the top of the hierarchy to the lowest level.
+ Austria
- Australia
- NSW
- Sydney
- CBD
- Kmart
+ China
+ etc
It could be an expansion on the Beckett Corporation example for the USA, Ohio / Heating Equipment Supplier that used wpDataTables to create a searchable catalog of commercial gas specs.
You can check in our documentation about Row grouping in WordPress tables and find is this what you looking for. Note that this is available for non server-side tables.
Hello,
Does wpDataTables allow Drilling and / or Hierarchies?
Thanks,
Gary

Hello Milan,
Thank you for the suggestion, are multiple groups and sub-totals available?
Thanks,
Gary.
Hi Gary,
Sorry for disappointment but something like this is not possible with built in features of plugin.
Best regards
