We went to update our wptables plugin in our staging area of our website. We were running version 2.0.2 and the update was for 2.2.1. I completed the update and it said it was updated. Upon checking the front end and back end the wptables were not working as they wouldn't load on the front end with the wheel spinning. In addition the backend had the same issue as we can't edit any tables or access them because it just keeps trying to load. As mentioned we did this in our staging site so our site wasn't affected but we want to get this updated and fixed so we can update it on the live site once we can prove the update works.
I clicked the link which takes me to a website and does not automatically download a zip file. On the website I am unable to find anything to download from what you mentioned.
Also once I do obtain the file what are you referencing regarding FTP. Will this fix this issue I explained?
Link that I provide to you is link to the codcanyon download folder and you have to be login to access it.
When you download the file please follow steps that I provide you in previous post(expressly don't forget 6 and 7 steps) and our plugin will work fine.
I got the download in a zip file but am uncertain what you are talking about regarding FTP and the wp tables folders?? Could you provide more detail on what needs to be done? Appreciate it.
I provide you steps what you need to do when you are updating plugin manually.
FTP - is protocol, one that stands for “File Transfer Protocol.” It’s also one of the oldest protocols in use today, and is a convenient way to move files around. An FTP server offers access to a directory, with sub-directories. Users connect to these servers with an FTP client, a piece of software that lets you download files from the server, as well as upload files to it.
For FTP connection you need FTP client. We are using FileZilla.
Wanted to reach back out regarding the issue we had back in June. Would you suggest to try that zip file again that you provided to me before as we just stayed with a previous version.

HI Jon,
Thank you for your purchase.
We lunch new update version 2.2.2 couple days ago. We didn't release auto update yet but you can
update the plugin manually by following this steps:
1.) Download zip from this link
2.) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins
3.) Delete existing wpdatatables folder.
4.) Upload previously downloaded wpdatatables folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)
5.) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.
6.) Deactivate wpDataTables, and then activate it again.
7.) Clear server and browser cache
IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic
