My suggestion is to import the Google srpeadsheet without that images. and then in plugin use the image type column and attachment as an editor input type where you will add the images fro the first column.
is there a different way to insert images to gSheet that will allow image to import?
And assuming there is no way, how do i insert imgages, doc and tut are not clear. I have image columne set up but don't see any editing device for inserting images
If you have all of your images uploaded to media library in WordPress, you can set up Attachment as an editor input type for Image column. In that case you will be able just to add the image in the table from the media library
Or if you want to upload it directly from the spreadsheet, you just need to paste the URL in the column like in this example spreadsheet.
So just paste the https like from the first 4 entries from the first column.

But is there anyway to maintain the text formatting like line breaks and linked text? The plugin just strips it all out and ignores line breaks and links. Do i need to set column to multi string?

The issue is that you are trying to import the formatted value for image column ( attachment)

HI Tim,

However I can not find the "Edit" link, or the "Allow for frontend editing", I can't edit anything at moment.

It is because you made a table from the 1st option in the table wizard.
If you take a look at our documentation you will see how you can make editable tables from Google Spreadsheet.
If you made a table from this option every change you need to make in table you must do it in the plugin.

Hi Tim,
There are 2 options:
1) Like you said to set the multi line edit filed for that column.
2) To enable Limit table width and set Word Wrap from the table settings. ( attachment)

Hi Tim,
Probably because you enabled Scrollable option.
If the scrollable option is unchecked the Limit table width ( like from attachment) will be visible.
From there you will get and option to set for each column width individually in the column settings.
Row grouping is only possible with the non-server side tables, so If you have server side table this option will not be possible.
