I update the table on this page regularly. Yesterday, I followed my standard process of uploading the full new table from an Excel document and internal server error 500 popped up on the dashboard. Immediately after, the page went blank (entirely, not just the table but all text that was on the page except for the header "Data Provider Database."
I went to wpdatatables interface to revert back to the old table, but when I click on data table 3, nothing shows up on the interface any more. As I work around, I had to use another table (wpdatatable = 18). This work, so I tried to upload the new table, but again received the same error, this time for wpdatatable 18. However, the interface did not go blank this time, so I was able to revert to the old, non-updated table. Need to be able to update this table.
HI Michael Rondinaro, Thank you for your purchase.
The 500 Internal Server Error is a server-side error, meaning the problem probably isn't with your computer, Internet connection or plug ins but instead is a problem with the web site's server.
Can you please investigate your server log and see if there is some errors.
Sorry for late response we did not work in past 5 days due to national holidays.
Looking at the server log it looks like the issue is in the file, can you please tell me did you made some changes to the core file from which the table is created, for example like adding new columns, renaming it, deleting or changing the position.
Yes, I update the table regularly by uploading a new (updated) file. This entails me adding new rows with more entries that follow the same formatting each time. There are no new columns or anything else like that.
The file dated "4-17" works, but the file dated "4-26" is what causes the server error. Can you take a look to see if you can figure out what the problem is with the "4-26" file?
Can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Support Table 1 is good to go. I actually renamed it "Alternative DATA PROVIDER DATABASE " and put it on the database page because I really needed that table up properly.
Support Table 2 is missing some provider names and descriptions from the original file (I've seen this problem before, couldn't figure it out).
Support Table 3 is missing the same values.
Do we know why Support Table 2 and 3 are missing values?
I am trying to follow up on this now, but unfortunately I can not access the database myself because we are Wordpress.com (not Wordpress.org) users, so I have to go through Wordpress support. I will ask them about this issue now and follow up in this ticket. In the meantime, is there any other way you know of that I can change this value (through Wordpress.com)?

Hi Bogdan,
Thanks for the getting back to me.
I inherited this project and am new to Wordpress/hosting a website. Could you outline the steps I would take to investigate the server log?
Thanks,
Mike
HI Mike,
Sure, no problem.
In your cpanel of the site there should be Server Error log, Logs or just Error log where you can see all of the requests and issues from the server.
If you do not have permissions to access the server log then you can ask your hosting provider to give send you ( that is the file) the error log.
Best regards.

HI Mike,
I think i know what the issue might be, it is the number of characters probably and that you hit the mysql limit set for that column.
Can you please go to your database ( phpmyadmin ) and see which number is set for the number of the characters. (attachment)
Probably it is set to VARCHAR 255, so can you please increase that number 255
Best regards.

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately no, you must enter your database and change that value like from the screenshot below.
You can access your cpanel and from there you can access phpmyadmin and the structure of the table where you can change that value.
Best regard.
