    Hi,

I have a Google sheet that I want to show as a WP Data table. However I only want to show the user's own data. To do this, my Google Sheet has a column called "WP ID" which is the Wordpress ID of the user.

When I create a manual table (via Google Sheets import), I can definitely make this happen. I.e. users only see the rows that have their wordpress ID on it.

However I also want to the table to automatically update and pull data from the Google Sheet. The only way to do this is to create a "Linked" table (instead of manually with import).

However, when creating a linked table, there is no option to enable "Users see and edit only own data". This is only available for MySQL-based tables, as the tooltip suggests.

My question is: can we have a feature that allows users to VIEW their own data? I don't need my users to be able to edit the data (I'm guessing the MySQL restriction is there because of the editing side of things). I just need them to VIEW their own data only.

Another way to achieve this is if I could enter shortcodes into the predefined filters column. For example, I would enter a predefined filter "[currentuser_id]" so that the user only sees the rows related to them. However currently entering shortcodes into predefined column filters doesn't work.

Could you help me create a custom solution for this?

    It would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Martin

    HI Martin,
    Thank you for your purchase.

Unfortunately something like this is not possible to achieve with the plugin built in features at the moment.

As a workaround I can suggest you to use CSS to hide the New and Edit button and in that case the users can only view the data.

The best option is to use Popover buttons for editing and then use CSS to hide those buttons.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,
