Formula Column

    I am trying to add several formula columns that calculate how much time has passed based on a start date.

    * I have created a column for a start date that is a date using your data categories.

    * I need to calculate how many days has passed by calculating the current date minus the start date. This might look like:

    =CurrentDate - StartDate

    * And the weeks passed:

    =CurrentDate - StartDate / 7

    * And the months passed:

    =CurrentDate - StartDate / 30

    * And the years passed:

    =CurrentDate - StartDate / 360

    How do I do this? I have not found any time-based hooks that facilitate this type of calculation.

    Thanks!

    I'm also looking for something similar! I'm needing conditional formatting for the date column. For example, if one day has passed since date entered, color it green. If two days have passed, color it red, etc. Following this thread!

    HI Tom,
    Thank you for your purchase.

    Sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately calculating the date columns and using it in a formula is not possible to achieve with the plugin built in features.

    Best regards.

    Hello Bogdan, and thank you for your swift reply.

    This is disappointing.

    Can you think of any plugin that augments wpDataTables to permit a calculation of this nature?If my client does not accept this missing information from his data sheet, is it possible to attain a refund?

    Many thanks,

    Tom

    HI Tom,

    Unfortunately we do not know any of other plugins that can achieve something like this where you can include date in the formula column and calculate the days/weeks.

    About the refund:

    You can find our refund policy here: http://wpdatatables.com/help/refund-policy/

    Due to the digital 'non-returnable' nature of goods we only do refunds when the tool is malfunctioning or not working as described, with prior confirmation that support is unable to resolve the issue. As the revoked license does not make the product non-functional, and because there were lots of abuses, unfortunately we cannot provide the 'return-on-request' refund policy. So we do not refund mistaken purchases, or cases when buyers had their own expectations of features.

    To avoid such situations we have a fully-featured 'sandbox' site where one can try plugin's features before purchase, a free version of the plugin which can help to get a better understanding of how the plugin is working, all the plugin's documentation is available to anyone before purchase and we try to clear up all the limitations of different features, and we always answer all pre-purchase questions clearly and honestly so that potential buyers would have clear understanding of how the plugin works.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards.
