Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!
Is there anyway to avoid showing a logged in user the Media Library when they attach a file?
I want them to be able to upload a file but don't want them to see all that is in the Media Library as there are private documents in there.
So if it could use the Upload File tab, but not the Media Library tab.
HI Rhonda Stark,
Thank you for your purchase.
Unfortunately Media library is on the WordPress side so it is not possible to setup the option that you mentioned below with the plugin built in features at the moment.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,

Would there be a way around using the WP method? I read that you used to have another version that was used before you integrated with WordPress.
I would imagine I'm not the only one with this concern about keeping the media library files private. For instance, in the application I'm using it, I don't want front end users to be able to see other peoples documents they are uploading as it contains personal information. Which is why this plugin works so well with the ability to have logged in users only having access to their own data in the tables.
But that all goes away with the use of the Media Library as it exposes ALL the files in the media library to the public.
Do you see my concern?
I did a little digging and found a plugin that only allows users to see their own files in the media library.
Restrict Media Library Access
When I used this it worked like a charm. So please ignore my previous message .. but hopefully this will help someone else if they have the same concern :)
Hi Rhonda,
I understand you and thank you for your feedback.
I will forward this to my team so we can discuss about it for some of the future updates.
Thank you again.
Best regards.
