At the start of my lunch break I bought this plugin, at the end of it my site is down. I experimented with a table view with 7 columns based on sql query. added shortcode on page. query returned invalid json, next thing I know site is dead and I am being redirected to /wp-admin/install.php. 

how do we investigate what happened here, and go forward?

site came back up after a while. But this happens repeatedly as i set up sql based tables - either because of selecting server side update, refresh interval or something related, page goes unresponsive and finally decides to take down site with it. 

What i'm doing is a real simple query like select user_id, weight from people where user_id = %CURRENT_USER_ID% and displaying in a table. If you can advise on  how to investigate further I would appreciate a lot.

Unfortunately I have not been able to pull any logs, but good news is that I did solve the problem; the Hestia Theme. You may want to test that out. I switched to another simpler theme and I no longer have any issues at all. With the Hestia Theme, loading tables was slow, table/cell formatting was not respected and site crashed several times.
