Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!
I have created a table with fields type ATTACHMENT to manage documents. It works fine.
I then created a table based on a query on the previous table but then the field ATTACHEMENT is shown as URL and I dont see how I can change that. Any idea. Didier"
Hi CROIXMARIE,
Thank you for your purchase.
Yes that is normal behavior because Attachment columns will have a “URL link data type” and when you use table from database that is made for manual table wpdatatables will set URL link data type for this column.
You can change the editor input type on EDITING tab in column settings where you can choose Attachment.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Thanks Milan for your answer. I opened a ticket because the ATTACHMENT type is not displaid when I then edit the column data type, hence not able to change
Hi CROIXMARIE,
Like I said before Attachment columns will have a “URL link data type”. You can check on first table that you made manually. For second table that you made from query you can change the editor input type on EDITING tab in column settings where you can choose Attachment.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Thanks for your help. I eventually found the answer in the documentation while browsing though other posts.

“URL link” columns are used to render the hyperlinks which can be clicked to open pages within your website or on some external websites.
