I have a few different tables but when I used placeholders on some of them it complains that there is no data returned. I then change the query to remove the placeholder so it does return data and it works.
However whenever I go back to edit the query to include the placeholder it again complains that the dataset is empty. Is there a way to overwrite this so it will let me use the placeholder regardless if it returns results or not?
I have reviewed the documentation and I think i am doing everything correct. Here is an example:
select * from table where value = %CURRENT_USER_LOGIN%;
Generating a table using the above query works fine and while there is no data to be returned wpdatatables does not return the no data warning and allows me to create the table.
Then I go to create a second table using the query:
select SUM(value), AVG(value) from table where value=%CURRENT_USER_LOGIN% and date=CURDATE();
The above query returns the error that no data is returned. But the first query doesn't.
Regardless of no data being returned it tells me that I can put in a value to return data and then edit they query after to return a table with no data but also when I do this I still get the same error and can not apply the changes because it complains that:
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Also point me to the table ID so I can take a look.
Hi Bogdan, I have found the problem. Appears that each time you edit a query the default placeholder %CURRENT_USER_LOGIN% reverts back to the current logged in user and you need to edit it again to allow the query return results.
No problem at all, glad to hear that everything is working fine now.
If you like our plugin and support we'd greatly appreciate it if you could take a minute and leave a review on CodeCanyon on this link. It means a lot to us.
Thanks.

Hi cianmaher,
Thank you for your purchase.
Can you please tell me what type of placeholder are you using? Did you add some value for that placeholder in placeholder tab in table settings?
No data return message is shown when there is no at least one row returned from your query.
You can take a look at our documentation about placeholders where you can find some useful hints.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Like it is said in our documentation CURRENT_USER_LOGIN be replaced with the currently logged in username (if the user is logged in).
Can you please tell me do you managed to achieved what you wanted.
Best regards.
