My name is Gert and i purchased some days ago your premium plugin. Initially we noticed a problem with the six-column tables, which were displayed non-correctly once uploaded to the webpage. Today we have noticed that the dates as well are not recognized nor "translated" in word press by the plugin as we have entered them in our excel tab....we have tried do far any possible configuration for the excel tables we are trying to upload, so that the plugin "translate" them accordingly as we have created them, but with no results. The situation keeps getting worse as we look desperately for a solution to this basic problem we have exposed... initially the six-column tables, now the dates...pls send help..best, gert
I am reseeding to you the excel files i sent to the other support person earlier. The first file is e very simple table with no formula at all, which remains partially "translated" in the dates columns by the plugin.
the second is another file, with simple data, 6-columns, which looses configuration during upload, especially in regard to the searching functions above the column header
The third is a 7-column-tab, which initially, when we bought this plugin, was reflected accordingly to the website page, but after we submitted the ticket to the support, smth has gone terribly wrong and the second and third columns, containing dates, are not recognized at all (the plugin reflects only one unified date for the entire column) .
please do provide us with the intended service for which we payed .
thank you in advance.
p.s.
for more on the problem description, please follow the earlier tickets we have submitted (print-screen, tabs etc) for we can not provide any more details at this point...it up to you to make it right
We look files that you provide and the reason why dates are not properly insert is because of the date formatting in that files.(attachments)
You can see in attachment also file from which you can make a table with correct date
If you created table using “Create a table linked to an existing data source” and “Date” column is not rendered well (Some cell values missing) you have to choose “Date input format” which is used in the provided data source. Our plugin guess date format correctly in most cases but in some of them, like if you have dates in string column in Excel etc., you will need to “tell” our plugin which format to expect from your data source.
If you are creating a table using “Create a table by importing data from data source” you should set “Date input format” before you create a table so that date values would be saved in the database in the right format. You will see “Date input format” dropdown in the column block which is “Date” column type.
we have been using: Create a table by importing data from data source.
The plugin responded well on a 7-columns table, though the same date format was used by us. The system was ok, though some cells were empty...the system was ok even when we tried to enter an entire empty column, only with the header.
but the plugin and the page was dis-organised while we used a 6-column table. the search function, while activated above the table's header was loosing render, becoming arranged in three searching rows, instead of only two.
i believe that it should be left our this discussion the formula "issue", because an exel ia all about formula, and, in your promo it does not mention that the plug in receives "only excel without formula"...this is so unexpected.
further more, the simple table we sent you earlier, file name "test", has no formula, but still the date remains "recognized" by the plug in only for the last row of the tab, deleting all other dates...no matter how much we try onto this .
so, we are very sorry to keep demanding without any solution so far to receive the premium quality product we though you were were selling on internet.
we are on the limit with our deadlines so in case you really want to sell this plugin, make it right by tuning it to the legitimate expectancy, which you created, so we both have at this done: you sell and we bye
We made table Support with id 75 from that file and you can see that table is made correctly and the date columns are shown properly. When you making table with option Create a table by importing data from data source” you should set “Date input format” before you create a table so that date values would be saved in the database in the right format. You will see “Date input format” dropdown in the column block which is “Date” column type.
In this screen where you are configure the columns that will be imported there are some misalignment because columns that contain date have a extra input field that increase the height of that section.
I will forward this to my team to investigate, but this has nothing to do with functionality of the plugin for making tables.
Link that you provide is link of the table wizard where you can choose Data source.
Like I said before your files have date formatting and that is a reason why you can't get right date in wpdatatables. We made two tables Support 1 and 2 with data from files that you provide and you will see that is working fine. For every date column is set Date input format.
Link that you provide contains wpdatatable shortcode for table that not exist.
