For our application, we need to build a dynamic table that is generated by real-time mysql query. Here is our business requirement: we want user to start with a blank page with only a input box(e.g. country=???) that user can input a filter and no table is shown. After user input the filter keyword (e.g. country = U.S.A), it returns the selected record and display it in a table format(e.g. all the records whose country ==U.S.A.).
One of the way we are thinking about doing it is to integrate MySQL query in the input box( e.g. "SELECT * FROM user_info_table where country=?"). After user input the keyword , we will pass the full query and the MySQL database will return the result. We want to pass the result to the wpDataTable such that user will be able to view it in a table format. To achieve this, we need to dynamically change the query that generate wpDataTable. I was wondering if there is any way to do this ?
Yes there is solution for this with our Powerful filters add on, without using solution that you mentioned in previous post. If you have your data in database you can make table from query
SELECT * FROM table_name
and then you can hide table with options that you get when you install this add on. Also you can choose which and how many column you want to filter, filtering logic(dependent or independent), including search button or not...
