When you turn off option Visible on front-end that columns will not be shown in the table on front-end. But that is not option with which you remove column from edit modal. To do that you have to change option Editor input type on EDITING tab in column settings to "None" for those columns that you don't want to show in edit modal.
In the event registration of the My Page. There are columns showing that are tagged as "do not show on front end". See attached screenshots.
