I'm hoping you're the answer to a long-time problem. My client has many large specifications tables on the site and they have to be responsive. I uploaded one csv to the site:
One other question. I want to hide ROWS not COLUMNS on mobile. All I want showing is the Model number with everything else collapsible (and an icon for opening the info). Can this be done from this table or do I have to rework the tables so columns become rows and rows become columns?
I just make a table with Add from data source option and deleted the <strong> tag in the header for one of the column.
Formating and html tags are not supported in the column headers.
Now for responsive and hiding the columns you can take a look at our documentation. Unfortunately hiding rows is something that is not possible with the plugin built in features at the moment so reverting columns with rows is only possible way at the moment.
If you like our plugin and support we'd greatly appreciate it if you could take a minute and leave a review on CodeCanyon on this link. It means a lot to us.
Thanks.
I think this will work out fine (and I sure will give you an excellent review...if nothing else but your support).
I transposed rows/columns and reloaded.
1) I see client had some missing spaces in the database ... I can fix and will redo.
2) Since our tables are SO WIDE, is there anyway to "hide" everything but the first column for computer visitors as well as mobile devices. This would totally simplify it. Your thoughts?

1) I feel really dumb but I haven't a clue how to select the columns to create the table. It just dies when I click create table.
2) How can client edit tables going forward.
Thanks. Ruth
Hi Ruth,
Thank you for your purchase.
Unfortunately I can not access the link below without WP admin credentials so can you please provide me so I can login and take a look.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE reply so nobody can see it except us.
Also if you can send me that CSV file so I can try to reproduce the issue.
You can also take a look at our documentation where you can see how you can create editable CSV tables.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

I'm back to where I was stuck yesterday.
I have imported my file and it looks fine. How do I do this?
"Please check which columns would you like to import and make sure that the column types were imported correctly."
Hi Ruthie,
Can you please tell me do you see this picture when you upload your file ( attachment)
Now about the file.
The issue is that the file is not properly created.
You must have column names for every file that you are using in our plugin.
In this case the first column does not have column name ( attachment 2)
Best regards.

Yes, the table was created when I added the name to the first column. However, the field below is not populated.
Also, I'll go back to the documentation but I don't want pagination. I was hoping for responsive tables similar to the site I sent you.

Hi Ruthie,
I can see the issue now.
Your file is properly created now and I was able to create a table from your file on my side ( attachment)
I assume that this issue might be with the HTML "issue" on your side.
Can you please tell me which version of libxml do you use, you can find the version in php.info file.
Also please check in your database column type and characters value length for the columns that you do not see the data.
This issue is probably related with some setup above.
Best regards.

Can't find php.info. Where?
Also, I moved something in the first column and now it's hidden completely. I want to get it back.
I'm getting to be a pain! Ruthie
Hi Ruthie,
Maybe the best option is to ask your hosting provider about php info file.
Can you please check wpdatatables support 2 table and tell me are the values displayed correctly.
Best regards.

Thanks. Looks perfect.
I'm going to delete my table and change the name on this one.
Is there something you did that I have to do differently going forward?
I assume I have to "hide" column at a time? That's fine.
Best, Ruthie

Thank you. Let me see how involved it is to create new excel sheets.
I'll remember not to use tags in headers.
Best, Ruthie

Maybe just a matter of putting in a max width or some such thing?

Hi Ruthie,
As for the hide on computer columns we are developing that feature for some of our new updates.
In a meantime you can take a look at our documentation and in our video a 1:16 this is explained how you can achieve it.
Best regards.

I reviewed the plugin. A MUCH-DESERVED 5.0 for features, support, documentation.
