love the plugin - very easy to set up.
I've got an 'issue' where the client doesn't like the 'screen flashing' when entering text into the filters (i.e. when the loading spinner overlay loads for a split second).
Is there any way to make the overlay transparent for this? I don't mind the actual spinner icon loading, so thought this would be the easiest fix. (unless there's a better way).

Yes you can remove that overlay depends which skin you are using. If you are using Light skin, then you have to comment that css rule in file wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/css/wdt-skins/light.css around line 317 like this:
