wpDataTables has a built-in WPDB query constructor. It has a graphical user interface which allows to pick the post types, custom/meta fields, taxonomies, and generates a query and a preview. You can modify the query as you need it, and then create a wpDataTable based on this query. You can take a look in our documentation about Create a MySQL-query-based table by generating a query to WordPress database.
