Thanks for the speedy reply. I did as suggested and in settings toggled the "include bootstrap.js on the front end" in both settings conditions got the same result on Edge and Chrome after a page refresh of course.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
This two lines of codes from the theme CSS is causing this issue
The theme uses the same selector like our plugin and it overwrites our CSS and cause the modal to appear on the left side.
I am not very familiar with the theme files but if you can disable the width and background color for the .modal from the theme files I think this might solve the issue.
That was fast, thank you.. however, I'm not the techie, could you point me in a direction or a plugin that I could use to go and amend the .modal file with
And, just wondering if there is not a wider problem here... since I tried the wpDataTables on 2 other themes from other writers and the problem stayed constant. Might it be that wpDataTables needs to have the code altered to overwrite the Theme CSS going forward?
Go onto the page: http://nspeurope.org/oth-registration/ and add a new entry, in the Arrival or Departure calendar popup, there is a compressed Time and Calendar box that refuses to move..
On the date picker, look at the bottom of the pop up and you see a small clock icon, click that and adjust the time.. when you click out of the the time adjuster, the box just stays, even if you try and minimise it
Can you please tell me is this i happening also in backend. I tried to log in with the credentials that you provided me below but it looks like they are not valid anymore.
As I can see this is only happening in the frontend and in backend everything is working fine.
I noticed that the CSS from the theme and some on click actions are binded to our modal, so maybe the best option for this case would be to contact the theme authors and ask them to remove all of this issues or to disable their CSS on our modals if that is possible, because I can see that the all of the themes that you wrote me below are from the same author.
On a front end table the user wants to add a NEW entry, the new "popup" appears as a column on the left with no horizontal scroll bar, see attachment.
The current theme is Melos, but the same problem exists on other themes (Alante and Idyllic).
I've tested on both Edge and Chrome browsers, same issue
I have tried searching in settings and your FAQ, no joy... can you advise please
Hi fergusrae,
Thank you for your purchase.
It looks like the issue is with the theme CSS,
in this file themes/melos/lib/extensions/bootstrap/css/bootstrap.min.css
If that file is disabled this is the result ( attachment)
Can you please try to go to wpdatatables settings page and check or uncheck the option include bootstrap.js files and tell me the result.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Fergus
Let's try another method.
Can you please paste this CSS in the the wpdatatable settings page, Custom CSS and JS in the Custom CSS field.
Let me know the result.

Wonderful, works great... but.........
Go onto the page: http://nspeurope.org/oth-registration/ and add a new entry, in the Arrival or Departure calendar popup, there is a compressed Time and Calendar box that refuses to move..
Hi Fergus,
This is my result. ( attachment)
Can you please tell me which browser do you use so I can try to reproduce the issue.

Hi,
It's on the latest Chrome and Edge. Attached is a screenshot from Edge
Fergus
HI Fergus,
As I can see from the screenshots the datetimepicker is working correctly.
Also I tested this on Chrome and the datetimepicker is working correctly.
Correct me if I am wrong or if I did not understand you correctly.
Best regards.
