I'm looking for a way to prefiltered a specific column with a single value.
Basically, I have a column with 2 different values, let's say red and blue. The data come from a form with a dropdown menu, I use Formidable Form.
I need my table to show only RED , and hide the row containing the blue, since I'll put the information of blue in another table.
At this point, the information is in the same column, since it come from a dropdown menu.
It work when I use filtering and advanced filtering, but if the user erase the field, he has access to all the values. Is there a way to block the filtering of this specific column so a user can't edit it. Or Is there a simple way to prefiltered the table when creating it or edit it?
Sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately something like this is nos possible with the plugin built in features at the moment.
I assume that you used Predefined values option in the column settings ( attachment) but that predefined value will only be applied on the page load after that every change on it will be applied to the table also and it is not possible to disable some of the filter options.
As a workaround, if you do not want to have for example "Blue" in the select box you can set the values list in the column settings. ( attachment 2)
In this case only the Red option will be in the select box.
Seems I can't find the field you are talking about in your attachment 2. It's just not there. Again, I'm working with table generated by Formidable Form.
You can take a look at our documentation where you can see how you can define possible values list for select box, first you must go to column settings for desired column. In “Data” tab and for “Possible values for column” select “Define values list“.
About hiding can you please send me some example/screenshot or link of the table it can be some test data, and point me just which entry should be hidden so I can give you my suggestion.
